Nancy Hatch Woodward has an MA in English/Professional Writing and is a writer
and teacher with over 15 years experience in corporate and educational settings.
Her professional background includes serving as writer, editor, and communications expert for a number of large companies, including BlueCross BlueShield of
Tennessee, Health Advocate, Inc., and Unum. In these roles, she has developed brochures, newsletters, fact sheets, white papers, reports, PowerPoint presentations, seminars, web materials, manager toolboxes, webinars, and training courses.
In addition, Nancy has published more than 650 articles on health care, human resources, work/life balance, diversity, and employment law in over 40 publications, and has been a long-term and frequent contributor to publications with ThomsonReuters, the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), Business and Legal Reports, and Bureau of Business Practices. She is also co-author of Eldercare: Caring for Your Aging Parents (National Institute of Business Management 2002), available on Amazon.com.
Her work has been cited in a number of professional business books: The Handbook of Employee Benefits; The Sentinel CEO: Perspectives on Security, Risk, and Leadership in a Post-9/11 Worldl Managing Compensation (and Understand it Too): A Handbook for the Perplexed; Advertising and Promotion: An Integrated Marketing Communications Perspective; Indispensable Employees; Human Resource Management; and E-Business Legal Handbook: 2003.

Nancy is the founder of ChattaRosa, a writing group that offers support, critiquing, and education for women writers in Chattanooga for over two years.
Moreover, Nancy has published poems, short stories, and essays in publications such as Alternative Press Magazine, Short Story Magazine, Seeding the Snow, Four and Twenty, and Working Mother. Her poem, "Distractions," was one of the winners in Writer's Digest's 2009 Poetry-a-Day contest. In addition, she has an essay coming up in the Spring 2012 Southern Cultures.
